Wednesday Words: Blogosphere

Today’s word is simple and, if you can believe it, even simpler than the other words we covered during the Month of February, and that word is blogosphere.

Blogosphere is a word defined as personal websites and blogs collectively. AKA all the blogs and personal websites out there are part of the gigantic blogosphere. So when you create a blog, you’re part of the blogosphere.

According to wikipedia, blogosphere implies that blogs exist together as a connected community (or as a collection of connected communities) or as a social networking service in which everyday authors can publish their opinions.

There’s even a magazine dedicated to the blogosphere. Check it out here: https://www.blogospheremagazine.com/

Wednesday Words are a series of definitions posted weekly on Wednesdays regarding a word or phrase related to WordPress or it may be a generic word dealing with websites in general. These definitions are to help provide you with a better understanding of common and uncommon terms associated with WordPress and websites. You can find all the Wednesday Words by clicking on the Wednesday Words tag below, or clicking on the Wednesday Words Category link in the right menu or clicking here. Wednesday Words will also be available in a glossary in the future.
